U11s York 9 – 1 Scarborough

York under 11’s recorded a resounding 9-1 home victory against Scarborough in the Yorkshire League to claim all three points.

The game played in cold windy conditions at York University was always going to be a struggle for the visiting team after York blitzed their seaside opponents with four goals in the first 20 minute period.

Scarborough to their great credit kept plugging away and got their single goal after a well taken long range free-kick in the dying minutes.

York’s  man of the match was left back Cole Gayles.
