U11s York 6-2 Scarborough

The boys got together 15minutes earlier than usual for a team talk not to be rushed and a warm up drill to get the passing flowing, Fingers crossed.

The 1st third got under way with the boys switching to a slightly different formation. This was to give us more options going forward
as a team and for the first 10 minutes the boys were moving the ball quickly and all looking to be the option when not on the ball. The York boys took an early 2 goal lead; goals from Ben Farrar and Max Rhodes.
Once 2 v 0 up the boys seem to take their foot of the gas and Scarborough reacted and came back into the game scoring in this third
to make it ‘game on’.

The second third was scrappy from York and Scarborough were having some good play and creating more and more chances. The boys kept on going trying to gain a little composure back on the ball. A tight third saw only 1 goal coming from a shot from outside the box from Max Rhodes.
York lucky to come out on top in this third.

Going into the last third York became more dominant and tried to start playing the ball around again. In this third Scarborough got their second goal of the match and York managed to get another 3 settling the match. Goals coming from Max Rhodes, Ben Farrar and a well deserved goal for James Borlase who ran his socks off up and down the right wing today.
