U11s Hull 3-1 York

York were away to a very strong Hull Schoolboys team who have not entered a team for 3 years so it was good to See Barry back at Hull and putting a team together.

The two teams were very evenly matched and it looked like the game would be very close, in what turned out to be blustery conditions at St Marys College Hull.

Hull too the lead after a good break on he left wing York were unable to stop the cross and deal with a quick ball in before the Hull forward fired home with a clever cross goal shot.

York put he pressure on and had a goal disallowed  for off side and missed various chances to go ahead in the game , Hull capitalised and went further ahead just before the break t take a 2-0 lead.Oliver Wood U 11 Goalkeeper Kept York in the game with some good saves and blocks.

The second half was again very close when a mistake at the back from York gave a simple 3rd goal to Hull and effectively he game was over, York Continue to have chance after chance but couldn’t seem to score despite some good goalkeeping and desperate defending from Hull.

Logan White scored a consolation free kick for York with 10 minutes remaining.

The score ended up 3-1 to Hull Schoolboys.
