U12s East Riding 1-4 York

The squad gelled well together for the first time that they had played together as a team.

York started on the front foot with some good passing and movement and Harry Tinker putting some great early crosses in, onto which Lewis Humphreys got his head on to one that the East Riding keeper couldn’t hold making it 0-1 to York

The second goal also came from a nice move which started from Will Hollins which found its way to Taylor Bell who hit a low drive to the keepers left 0-2 to York

The third came from a nice piece of interplay between Oliver Kilvington and Will Hollins who hit a screamer from 30 yards which left the ridings keeper no chance, topping off a commanding display by Will Hollins putting York 0-3 up.

The fourth goal was an individual shot from the edge of the area by Lewis Humphreys who had worked his socks off up front making the score 0-4.

East Ridings goal came from a corner late on, that York had several chances to clear 1-4.

Overall a fine performance from a fresh young team.
